Therapy & Counseling
in Round Rock, Texas
Somatic, trauma-informed therapy for women navigating anxiety, motherhood, and life transitions — in Round Rock, TX, and virtually across Texas.
You Don’t Have to Figure This Out Alone
Something brought you here — and whatever it is, it matters. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns you can’t quite name. Maybe you’re in the middle of a big life change and struggling to find your footing. Maybe motherhood has shifted something in you that you’re still trying to understand.
Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and start building something different. At Larimar Embodied Wellness, that process is warm, collaborative, and completely tailored to you — no judgment, no one-size-fits-all approach, just genuine support for wherever you are right now.
What to Expect in Sessions
From your very first session, you’ll notice that this isn’t a space where you’re talked at or handed a checklist. Liasa sees herself as a collaborator — someone who walks alongside you rather than ahead of you. Sessions are guided by what you bring, shaped around your goals, and adjusted as you grow.
Liasa draws on the mind-body connection as a foundation for her work. That means therapy here isn’t just about what’s happening in your head — it’s about understanding how your body holds your experiences, your stress, and your story. You’ll develop practical tools for self-reflection, learn to recognize your nervous system’s signals, and build a deeper understanding of yourself from the inside out.
Sessions are available in person in Round Rock and virtually throughout Texas, so you can access support in whatever way works best for your life.
Specialties & Approaches
Liasa integrates a range of evidence-based, body-centered approaches to meet you exactly where you are. Here’s a look at what she specializes in and how she works:
Women’s Issues
Liasa has a deep passion for supporting women through the many seasons of life. Whether you’re navigating your identity, your relationships, your career, or simply trying to understand why you keep getting in your own way — this is a space built for you. Therapy here honors the complexity of being a woman and offers tools that actually fit your real life.
Pregnancy, Prenatal & Postpartum
Becoming a parent — or growing your family — is one of the most profound transitions a person can go through, and it doesn’t always look the way we expect. If you’re struggling during pregnancy, adjusting to life after birth, or feeling lost somewhere in between, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to white-knuckle your way through it. Liasa offers compassionate, specialized support for every stage of the perinatal journey.
Anxiety
Anxiety can look like constant worry, a nervous system that never quite settles, or a persistent sense that something is wrong even when everything looks fine on the outside. Liasa helps you understand what your anxiety is trying to tell you and develop real, lasting strategies to find calm — not just cope.
Life Transitions
Major changes — a new job, a move, the end of a relationship, becoming a parent, losing someone you love — can shake the ground beneath you even when the change is one you chose. Therapy can help you process what’s shifting, clarify what you want, and find your footing again.
Trauma & PTSD
Trauma has a way of living in the body long after the event has passed. Liasa takes a trauma-informed, somatic approach that honors how deeply our past experiences shape the way we feel, relate, and react — and gently helps you begin to move through them rather than around them.
Depression
Depression can feel like fog, flatness, or a slow withdrawal from the life you want to be living. Liasa offers a warm, non-judgmental space to explore what’s underneath, reconnect with yourself, and rebuild a sense of meaning and momentum at your own pace.
Self-Esteem & Relationship Patterns
The way we feel about ourselves and the patterns we repeat in relationships often trace back further than we realize. Through compassionate exploration, Liasa helps you understand where these patterns came from, how they’ve been protecting you, and how to start relating to yourself and others in ways that actually feel good.
Stress & Coping Skills
Chronic stress takes a real toll on your body, your relationships, and your sense of self. Liasa helps you build a personalized toolkit of coping strategies rooted in nervous system awareness, so you can navigate the pressures of everyday life with more ease and resilience.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy is built on the understanding that the body and mind are not separate — our physical sensations, posture, and breath are deeply connected to how we feel and function emotionally. Rather than talking about experiences purely in the abstract, somatic work invites you to notice what’s happening in your body and use that awareness as a doorway to healing.
IFS-Informed Therapy (Internal Family Systems)
IFS is a powerful, compassionate framework that recognizes we all have different “parts” of ourselves — the part that worries, the part that shuts down, the part that pushes too hard. Rather than trying to silence these parts, IFS helps you understand and befriend them, so that your whole self can move forward with greater clarity and calm.
Nervous System Regulation & Polyvagal Theory
Polyvagal Theory helps us understand how the nervous system moves between states of safety, activation, and shutdown — and how those states shape everything from how we communicate to how we cope. Liasa weaves nervous system awareness into her work so that you develop a deeper understanding of your own internal rhythms and learn how to gently guide yourself back to a place of calm and connection.
Individual & Family Therapy
While much of Liasa’s work centers on individual therapy, she also works with families. Whether you’re navigating a specific challenge together or working to strengthen communication and connection across generations, family sessions offer a structured, supportive space to do that work side by side.
Liasa sees clients across a wide range of ages — from preteens and teenagers to adults and older adults — bringing the same warmth and person-centered approach to every stage of life.
In-Person & Virtual Sessions
Liasa offers in-person therapy sessions in both downtown Round Rock, above Soul Strong Yoga, and at Calm Haven Mental Health, located at 555 Round Rock W Dr, Suite 202, Round Rock, TX 78681. Virtual sessions are available for clients throughout Texas, making it easy to access support from wherever you are.
Not sure which format is right for you? That’s a great thing to talk through in your free 15-minute consultation.
A Welcoming Space for All
Larimar Embodied Wellness is an affirming, inclusive practice. Liasa warmly welcomes clients of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, people of color, single parents, and anyone who has felt unseen or misunderstood in other spaces.
She believes that effective therapy must be culturally sensitive and attuned to the full context of your life — not just what’s happening in the room, but everything that’s shaped who you are and how you move through the world.

About Liasa Kian
Liasa Kian (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate based in Round Rock, TX, supervised by Briana Liu, MA, LPC-S. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, and a BS in Elementary Education from The University of Texas at Austin.
Before becoming a therapist, Liasa spent years teaching yoga and mat Pilates — and it was there, witnessing how deeply the body holds our experiences, that her path toward therapy began. That foundation in somatic awareness isn’t something she learned and applied; it’s simply the way she naturally sees and understands people.
Liasa takes a trauma-informed, person-centered approach, drawing on Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, and somatic awareness to help clients reconnect with themselves from the inside out. She has a particular passion for supporting women through anxiety, major transitions, and the many seasons of motherhood — and she brings that same warmth and curiosity to every client she works with.

Somatic therapy is an approach that recognizes the deep connection between body and mind. Rather than focusing only on thoughts and feelings, somatic work invites you to notice physical sensations — tension, breath, posture — as a way of accessing and processing your experiences. It’s particularly effective for anxiety, trauma, and stress.
-
IFS is a therapeutic model based on the idea that we all have different “parts” within us — like the part that overthinks, the part that shuts down, or the part that always tries to hold it together. IFS helps you approach these parts with curiosity and compassion rather than trying to push them away, which leads to deeper, more lasting change.
-
The first session is really about getting to know each other. Liasa will ask questions to understand what brought you in, what you’re hoping to work on, and a bit about your background. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out — it’s simply a starting point.
-
If you’ve been wondering whether therapy might help, that curiosity alone is worth exploring. Therapy isn’t only for crisis moments — it’s for anyone who wants to understand themselves better, navigate something hard, or simply feel more at home in their own life.
